Snezena Sevic(Biography)
Snezana Sevic is a process chemistry specialist at PM Lucas Enterprises. She holds BSc, MS, and PhD degrees in chemical engineering from Technological Faculty, University of Novi Sad. Sevic has 37 years` experience in the oil and gas industry. Her main responsibilities include oil and gas-gas condensate treatment process modeling, simulation and optimization, diagnosis of problems resulting from fluid properties; conducting risk analyses, and recommending management and monitoring programs to handle flow assurance issues. Before joining PML, she worked at NIS-GaspromNeft, Quimica Apollo, and was involved in more than 50 projects in Serbia, Mexico, Kazakhstan and Russia. She has authored more than 50 papers and a book: Influence of Oilfield Waters on Gas and Oil Production and Transport, and supervised several graduate, master and doctoral theses. She has been involved in SPE E-Mentoring program, and serves as the SPE Distinguish Lecturer for 2018-2019 season.

Dr. Galina K. Vasilyeva graduated Chemistry Department of Moscow State University in 1972 and has completed her PhD from Russian Academy of Science and postdoctoral studies from University of Nebraska Lincoln (USA). She was a Fulbright scholar and visiting professor at Pennsylvania State University (USA) in 1995-1998. Now she is a head of scientific group at the IPBP RAS and docent at Pushchino State Institute of Natural Sciences. She has been studying biodegradation of various organic contaminants in soil, including petroleum and products, some pesticides, chloroanilines, chlorophenols, TNT, PCBs, and PAHs. She has about 70 publications in reputed journals.

Professor Cleveland M. Jones was born in Bahia, Brazil, and graduated in Physics and Economics from Cornell University (USA). He obtained his post-graduate degree in Oil and Gas Engineering, as well as his Masters (Basin Analysis) and Doctoral (MEOR - Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery) degrees in Geology from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Prof. Jones has been an international consultant to the oil industry, is currently a researcher at INOG – Instituto Nacional de Óleo e Gás, of Brazil’s CNPq, and Member of the Geosciences Advisory Board of NXT Energy Solutions, Inc., of Canada. He publishes extensively on strategic concerns and technological developments in the energy industry. He has coordinated post-graduate courses and held teaching assignments at several educational institutions. He also coordinated an extensive Knowledge Management project focused on environmental and strategic aspects of the oil industry. He is Vice-President of INEB, an institute dedicated to promoting “new economy†businesses and sustainability, including non-seismic geophysical methods and other environmentally friendly initiatives.

Dr. Mohan S. RANA is a Research Scientist at Petroleum Research Center, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Kuwait since Nov., 2008. He received his PhD in heterogeneous catalysis from the Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), CSIR, India in 2000. He was than working for two years as visiting scientist in University of Caen, CNRS, France and later 6 years as research scientist in Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo (IMP), Mexico. His research focuses on the development of catalyst for different fraction of petroleum and their characterization He has a wide experience in the area of heavy oil and residue upgrading specifically using hydroprocessing. Dr. Mohan has about 20 years of work experience in areas associated to the catalysis and petroleum refining processes. He authored or co-authored 90 international Journal articles and has been awarded 5 US patents. His publications have about 4200 citations and contains about 33-h index. He has co-edited a Journal issue of Catalysis Today “Hydroprocessing of Heavy Oil Fractionsâ€Â. He has co-edited a book “Asphaltenes: Chemical Transformations During Hydroprocessing of Heavy Oilsâ€Â. He has assigned a position in Editorial team of “Int. J. of Oil, Gas and Coal Technologyâ€Â. Since June 6th, 2016, he was assigned as Program Manager for “Optimization of Petroleum Refinery Processes (OPRP) Program†at KISR, Kuwait.

Junwang Tang received his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 2001 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. Between 2002-2005, he had been Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow & NIMS researcher working on solar energy conversion in NIMS, Japan. After that, he moved to the Department of Chemistry, Imperial College as a senior research associate. In 2009, Dr Tang joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, UCL as a Lecturer in Energy. He has been recognized by an Outstanding President’s Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2001), JSPS Fellowship (2003) and Young Scientist Award by the International Association of Catalysis Societies (2008).He is the Guest Editor-in-Chief of a special issue of International Journal of Photoenergy, 2012 and sits on the editorial board of several international journals. He is an Honorary Lecturer in Chemistry at Imperial College London and visiting professor in Chinese Academy of Sciences and so on. Up to now, he has published more than 60 papers with a total citation of ~2400.

Professor Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering and the director of Aerospace Engineering Program and Aerospace Research and Education Center at Washington University in St. Louis from 1994 to 200. He was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University. Dr. Agarwal received Ph.D in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. Professor Agarwal has worked in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), renewable energy systems and nanotechnology. He is the author and coauthor of over 300 publications and serves on the editorial board of fifteen journals. Russell R Chianelli(Biography)
Russell R. Chianelli is currently Director of the Materials Research and Technology Institute at the University of Texas at El Paso and Professor of Chemistry, Materials and Environmental Science and Engineering. After receiving his PhD, he joined the Corporate Research Laboratories of Exxon Research and Engineering Co in 1974. While at this laboratory he conducted research in both fundamental and applied areas of interest to the energy industry. He is recognized worldwide for his work in Transition Metal Sulfide environmental catalytic materials. This work resulted in over 130 publications and 60 issued United States patents. During this period he was active in the Materials Research Society (MRS), serving as vice president (1989), president (1990), past president (1991) and Counselor (1992-1994). In 1996 he joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Texas at El Paso as Chairman and Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. In 2001 he resigned as Chemistry Department Chairman to head the Materials Research and Technology Institute (MRTI) at UTEP. The MRTI is dedicated to research relevant to the US/Mexico border in Materials related to energy, environment and health.
